Porcelain roof of foliage, Den Bosch
Each leave is a cast of real elm leaf, of which I collected some 3000 in the summer of 2006. These same leaves are now suspended by long wires from the ceiling, like porcelain fossils.
When it gets dark outside, a ceiling-mounted spotlight starts to shine its light upon the foliage, casting a shadow pattern on the floor of the building’s hallway.
